Dr. Avi Weisfogel, Sleep Apnea Expert and Entrepreneur

Dr. Avi Weisfogel has not taken a traditional path to practicing dentistry. While most dentists practice traditional dental care, such as preventative exams and root canals, Dr. Weisfogel is dedicated to the specialization of providing care to those who suffer from sleep disorders.

The Path to Dentistry
Dr. Weisfogel worked hard in undergrad, where he completed degrees in psychology and biology at Rutgers University. This stellar education was promptly followed by a DDS degree from New York University. The traditional path most recent graduates take is to join the ranks of an existing practice, however Weisfogel had other ideas. His prestigious degrees allowed for him to foster his innovative thinking and to consider ways to help people beyond a basic dentistry practice.

Life as an Entrepreneur
Weisfogel has an undeniable entrepreneurial spirit that he has used since opening his first practice just after graduation from dental school. After great success, awards and superior traditional dental care for thousands of individuals, Dr. Weisfogel decided it was time to tackle larger issues. To do so, he launched a highly innovative practice that combined his expertise in dentistry with his background in psychology to conduct a methodology known as oral application therapy that is used to help individuals with sleep apnea. Today, his practice, Dental Sleep Masters, is a ground-breaking organization using customized applications to heal patients based on their individual needs.
